Televisual catches Goldcrest’s enthusiastic forecast for 2011

Goldcrest Post’s CEO, Keith Williams, is quoted in Jake Bickerton’s August Facilities feature under the headline 'A very positive view of post production in 2011' on page 21.

"... One of the most striking aspects of our visits to Soho’s post houses in particular was just how busy they were. There didn’t appear to be any evidence at all of a post-recession struggle. But had we just stumbled across an especially busy week or is post really witnessing a sustained upturn in fortunes? “2011 in probably the best year for post for at least five years,” believes Keith Williams, MD of audio post house Goldcrest. “The number of requests for quotes during the spring was unprecedented – the film industry is buoyant, and we turned away at least three major projects as we were full to capacity.”
Williams puts the upturn down to London’s VFX market attracting high-profile international features to the UK, which then go on to use London’s facilities for audio post. And in TV, he points to “Sky original drama, ITV creating more drama and new high profile projects from the BBC.”

With this positive outlook, Goldcrest looks forward to the upcoming Facilities 50 survey to see how the audio post community fares.
