Restrepo, the 2010 Academy Award nominated documentary, returns as a three part series to further explore the Afghan war and the story of B company. The series brings us back to the Korengal Valley, depicting the 2nd platoons defensive observation post, OP Restrepo, named after PFC Juan Sebastian Restrepo, a Colombian-born platoon medic who was killed early in the campaign. Restrepo the feature received the Grand Jury Prize for best documentary at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival. Restrepo was also named one of the top documentary films of 2010, and nominated for the 2011 Academy Awards for Best Documentary.
